All members of National Art Honor Society are required to read the following procedures & policies in order to fulfill the conditions for NAHS.
Service Hours
Minimum requirement for eligibility
To remain in NAHS is to attend 75% of all meetings and events. Hours may be made up with scheduled, negotiated events, or service jobs. For example, participation in out-of-school art events sponsored by NAHS, such as teaching the elementary school or face painting for a local elementary school, can count towards your 75% attendance. Number of hours volunteered will be on a case by case basis for a percentage of attendance.
Signing in and signing out
This is a member's responsibility in the beginning and end of meetings. The spreadsheet for attendance will be visible for @hcpss.inst.org accounts. If there is a discrepancy and members forget to sign in/sign out, it is their responsibility to email [email protected] in order to fix that immediately. Board executives will not hunt members down if there is no sign-out time. If there is a red block on the line of your name for sign-in/sign-out, that means there was no time entered and will not be considered for attendance minimum requirement until rectified by the respective member.
Volunteer opportunities
Meetings, jobs, and in/out-of-school events can count towards the required minimum attendance. Volunteer opportunities are sent through email and announced at the beginning of meetings. Reminders for signing for a specific volunteer event will be sent through REMIND.
